Zella McCree

Marion-Zella Mae McCree, 94, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Baptist Health in Paducah. Zella was born on June 29, 1922 in Williamson County to Oscar and Bertha (Mcanelly) Blumenstock. She married Willis McCree on January 24, 1940 in Paducah. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1994. Zella was a member of Third Baptist Church in Marion. She enjoyed yard work and cooking. Survivors include: Children: Willis Lee McCree and wife Barbara of St. Peters, MO Ronnie Gene McCree of St. Peters, MO Nadine Jeffords and husband Melvin of Brookport 8 Grandchildren: Melvin (Patty) Jeffords Jr, Kelvin (Donnette) Jeffords Sr., Rhonda (John) Quinn, Willis (Sharon) McCree Jr., Shelley McCree, Debbie McCree, Dana (Casey) Partridge, Beth McCree (Brian Taylor) 14 Great Grandchildren: Kelvin (Rachael) Jeffords Jr., Melvin (Rebecca) Jeffords III, Aaron Jeffords, Audrey Quinn, Brandon Weeks, Brett (Jane) Weeks, Brian Porter, Justin McCree, Kyle McCree, Ryan McCree, Richie Eisenhart, Rachel Eisenhart, Owen Taylor, Aiden Taylor 6 Great-Great Grandchildren: Kennadi Jeffords, Kane Jeffords, Brenna Jeffords, Ava Quinn, Jaelyn Weeks, Layla Weeks She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Walter (Swatie), Harvey, Sherman and LeRoy Blumenstock; four sisters, Lucy Rodgers, Allene Snider, Agnes Jones and Pauline Fosse; daughter in law, Jane McCree and one great-great grandchild, Kale Jeffords Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 5pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 3pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested St. Jude Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court/ Marion, IL 62959.
