William R. Davy

William R. “Bill” Davy Carbondale- William R. “Bill” Davy, 30, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010. He was born February 28, 1980 to William & Debbie Davy. Visitation will be held for Bill from 12:00 – 3:00 PM, on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, IL. There will be no service and burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Survivors include his parents; sister, Heather & Tony Travelstead of Murphysboro; nephews, Tyler & Jordan Travelstead; niece, Hailey Fae Travelstead; aunts, Paula Roe Midgett and her husband Larry of Marion, Nancy Young of Arlington, TX; uncle, Gary Porter of Lancaster, WI; several cousins and special cousins, Joe & David Roe. Bill was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul & Fae Roe; paternal grandparents, James & Doris Davy; uncle, Jim Davy and uncle Bob Roe for whom he was named after. Bill graduated from Marion High School in 1998, then went on to complete four years with the United States Marine Corps. Afterwards he graduated with an Associates Degree from John A. Logan College and was currently working on his Bachelors Degree in Business Management. He enjoyed fishing, hunting playing games with his cousins and nephews, but most importantly he was loved by his family.
