William Howard Newbold

Howard Newbold CREAL SPRINGS-Howard Newbold, 94, of Creal Springs passed away at 6:10 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Tim Blankenship officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Creal Springs Cemetery. Mr. Newbold was born on December 16, 1914 in Williamson County, Illinois to William R. and Grace (Rich) Newbold. Survivors include his children, Betty Ralls, Pat Skaggs, Sue Ann Campbell, Mari Lou Jones and Ray Newbold; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Boneva Holmes; and brothers, Carol Newbold, Jimmy Newbold and Sam Newbold. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Newbold was a truck driver. He served his country with the United States Army.
