William Gene Gibbs

William Gene Gibbs, 61, of Johnston City, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 6:49 am at his home. He was born in Alton, Illinois the son of Charles and Lucille (Gibbons) Gibbs. He married Genie Runion on March 24, 1973 in Meadowbrook, Illinois. Together they have shared over 43 years of marriage. He was a veteran, proudly answering the call to service his country in the Airforce. He made friends everywhere he went and will be missed by all that knew him. Survivors include his; Wife – Genie Gibbs of Johnston City Daughter – Jeannie Melisa Gibbs and Joshua Brooks of Cape Vincent, New York Mother – Lucille Gibbs of Eldorado Seven sisters Several nieces and nephews Proceded by his Father – Charles Gibbs In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and no services will be held. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
