Wilburn "Wink" Gallion MARION-Wilburn "Wink" Gallion , 85, of Marion passed away at 8:35 PM, April 30, 2007 at the VA Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Am, Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with the Marion VFW Ritual Team American Legion and the National Guard conducting the service . Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Creal Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Marion First Baptist Church; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Gallion was born February 24, 1922 in Carterville, Illinois to Walter and Carrie (Casey) Gallion. He married Virginia "GiGi" Lang in February of 1992; she preceded him in death on September 9, 2006. Survivors include step-daughter and her husband, Shari and Gale Jeter of Marion; grandchildren, Kyle and Sylvia Jeter and Kerry and Sarah Jeter; great grandchildren, Chanel Beharrie and Kyle Sebastian Jeter; and friends, Mr. & Mrs. Harold Halstead. Mr. Gallion was a member of Marion First Baptist Church. He was raised in Creal Springs and graduated from high school in Carterville. He was a long time barber in Marion. He served his country with the United States Coast Guard during World War II. Everyone who knew "Wink" admired his pleasant personality. He never had an unkind word about anyone. He will be missed.
