Wanda Phillips

Wanda Virginia Phillips, 97, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at her home.

Wanda was born March 7, 1924 in Crab Orchard the daughter of Wayman and Vinnie (Hamlet) Dunaway. She married Claude E. Phillips on September 26, 1942 and he precedes her in death.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Marion. Wanda had worked in housekeeping, she enjoyed camping and cleaning.

Survivors include her four children:
Sandy Lee of Ocala, Florida
Alice Thetford of Los Angeles, California
Sherry & Danny Buttrum of Murphysboro
Don & Marta Phillips of Johnston City
Seven grandchildren
Ten great grandchildren
Twin sisters - Nancy Minton and Patsy Strunk both of Marion

Preceded by her Parents, husband - Claude E. Phillips, brother - Fred Dunaway and an infant brother.

Graveside services be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Danny Ward officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
