Wanda L. Rye WEST FRANKFORT–Wanda L. Rye, 69, of West Frankfort passed away at 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Franklin Hospital in Benton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend John Howat officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery, in Goreville. Memorials may be made to Westside Care Center; envelopes are available at the cemetery or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Wanda was born in Williamson County, Illinois on January 6, 1940 to Lendale Dane & Lucy Ella (Dalton) Ragain. Survivors include brother, Donald & Shirley Ragain of Creal Springs; sisters, Sue Ragain of Berwyn, Illinois; and Diane & Gary Scanlon of Lemont, Illinois; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Glen D. Ragain and Larry Lynn Ragain. Wanda had worked as a waitress, and she loved to hunt and fish.
