Wanda Faye Albright
MARION- Wanda Faye Albright, 94, of Marion passed away at 12:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Fountain Nursing Home in Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Larry Lee officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mrs. Albright was born November 10, 1914 in Thompsonville to Wallace and Jessie (Smothers) Pry. She married Stanley R. Albright on April 6, 1938 in Paducah, Kentucky; together they shared 70 years of marriage.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Hancock of Marion; granddaughter, Kristen Whitlock of Marion; great grandchildren, Cory Whitlock, Jaylen Rice and James Rice; nieces and nephews, Jeanette and Charles Parton, Carol and Charles Stilley, Doug Goodman and Sherry, Ray and Sharon Goodman and Kim and Trisha Conley; great nephew, Dr. Jeff Parton; and great niece, Jennifer Melcher, her husband, Mark and their daughter, Lexie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Wilma Penley and Venita Goodman.
Mrs. Albright was a past member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. She loved cooking, animals, reading and her faith. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
