Wallace Theodore Whalen, Jr.

Wallace Theodore Whalen Jr., age 82, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Veteran Affairs Medical Center- Community Loving Center in Marion, Illinois.

Wallace was born October 26, 1939 in Suffern, New York, a son of Wallace and Matilda (Chase) Whalen. He married the love of his life, Sue Cavitt on October 26, 1985 in Texas. She preceded him in death. Prior to his retirement, Wallace had worked as a property manager.

He is survived by one son, Wallace T. Whalen III; his Step-Son, Troy Groves, Step-Daughter Rachael Choate, Step-Daughter Stephanie Groves, and five grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings, Wallace T. Whalen Jr., Thomas Whalen, and Marjorie Little.

Graveside services and military rites will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 11:00AM at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, Illinois.
