Mrs. Edmonds was born on March 31, 1915 in Williamson County, Illinois to Roy and Flossie (Franklin) Williams. She married James H. Edmonds on November 1, 1936 in Marion, he preceded her in death on December 3, 1991.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Don Orso of Herrin, and Shirley and John Harvel of Marion; grandchildren, Ivana Swan of Herrin, Consi and Ed Kubitz of Marion, Donna Sharpe of Memphis, Tennessee, and Jason Ernsting of Marion; great grandchildren, Brandi Hudson of Memphis, Tennessee and Cody Hudson of Golconda; and half brother, Carson Caraway of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; twin sister, Lillian Barr; and half brother, Robert Baker.
She had worked at Sangamo Electric and Celebrity Boats as a factory worker. She was a member of Warder Street Baptist Church and visited Fountain United Methodist Church with her family. She was an active participant at the Marion Senior Citizen Center. Mrs. Edmonds enjoyed tending to her flowers and shopping with her family.
