Virginia Reed MARION-Virginia Reed, 90, of Marion passed away at 9:45 AM, Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Parkway Manor in Marion. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Deb Pollex officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the Marion Senior Citizens; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Reed was born June 28, 1916 in Moline, Illinois to Earl and Bessie (Evers) Wilson. She married Robert F. Reed on December 19, 1941 in Palmyra, Missouri; he preceded her in death on November 7, 1998. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Christy Reed of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Tim Herrin of Smyrna Georgia; grandchildren, Brian Reed, Mark and Shay Henshaw, Nickie and Kenny Branson and Becky and Richard Kertz; and great grandchildren, Collin Branson, Katelynn Branson, Easton Branson, Zachary Kertz, Joey Kertz, Bradley Kertz, Julie Anderson, Tracy Anderson and Billy Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Mrs. Reed was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
