Virginia Mae Pritchard JOHNSTON CITY-Virginia Mae Pritchard, 77, of Johnston City passed away at 8:55 AM, Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Dave Maragni officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Memorials may be made to the Refuge Home c/o Community of Faith Church; envelopes are available through the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Virginia was born February 12, 1933 in Stiritz to Elbert and Hattie (Tapley) King. Survivors include daughter, Marilyn Jane Pritchard of La Vergne, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, Randy Lee and Linda Pritchard of Marion; grandson and wife, Luke A. and Libby Pritchard; sister, Georgia Lee Conner of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Krystal Maranda Pritchard; brothers, Herman, Norman Wilbert and Gilbert; and sisters, Blanche and Vera. Virginia was a faithful member and volunteer at Community of Faith Church. She was formerly employed at the Bank of Johnston City, Dr. Hendricks and Marion Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, writing and playing her harmonica. The family would like to thank the Shawnee Christian Nursing Home, Hospice of Southern Illinois, Dr. Parks and his staff for the loving care they gave to their loved one and especially to Evelyn Jones for her loving friendship.
