Virginia "Jenny" Brewer-Jones

Marion- Virginia “Jenny” Brewer-Jones, 91, of Marion, passed away at 4:00pm, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Herrin Hospital. Jenny was born on December 10, 1926 in Jackson, TN to Alexander and Maude (Reed) McLeary. She married Wilburn Audrain Brewer and he preceded her in death. Jenny loved to craft and sing. She sang in an acapella choir, a quartet, the church choir and was a member of the Merry Makers Senior Citizens Band.  Jenny was a dedicated prayer warrior, Sunday school teacher and deaconess at Warder Street Baptist Church.  Some of her favorite things were gardening, traveling, camping and above all, doing special things for others. Survivors include: Children: Phillip Brewer (Cheryl) Debi Gower (John) Laura Kellogg (Robert) Grandchildren: Jeffrey Brewer (Tamara) Julia Moore (Lynn) Jeremy Brewer (Joanna) Justin Brewer Elizabeth Hosie (John) Sam Kellogg (Malia) Benjamin Kellogg Kate Kellogg Six great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Wilburn Audrain Brewer; second husband, James M. Jones; brothers, Raymond McLeary and James McLeary and sisters, Dorothy Williams, Anita Holland and Mattie Pearl Whitten. Visitation will be on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion from 4:00pm until the time of service. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Dwayne Sheumaker officiating and Eulogy by Phil Brewer, Pat Morris and Benjamin Kellogg. A graveside service will be at 1:00pm, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Davis Chapel Cemetery in Huntingdon, TN.
