Virginia D. Stewart

GOREVILLE-Virginia D. Stewart, 79, of Goreville, passed away at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 1, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 5, 2005 at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem with Reverend Tim Woodard officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 4, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville and from 8:00 to 11:00 AM, Saturday Morning at the funeral home. Mrs. Stewart was born on April 23, 1925 in Neelyville, Missouri to Dempsey Miller and Nancy Mae (Sheely) Cole. She married Harry W. Stewart on May 8, 1943 in St. Charles County, Missouri; he preceded her in death on February 3, 1992. Survivors include sister, Rosalind B. Eleam of Shawnee, Kansas; brother-in-law, Charles B. Luttrell of Goreville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Stella Mae Luttrell and Dean Beck; and brother, Gene Cole. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Goreville First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Goreville Seniors Citizens. She loved to crochet and knit and work at the Goreville Ministerial Alliance
