Minetta V. Holden CREAL SPRINGS-Minetta V. Holden, 74, of Creal Springs passed away at 9:17 PM, Friday, March 12, 2004 at Herrin Hospital. Memorials services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Tony Holley officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to her family, envelopes are available at the funeral home, or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Holden was born on September 16, 1929 in Rock Island, Illinois to Hubert and Minetta (Tracey) Wilson. She married Francis `Len` Holden on October 6, 1956; he preceded her in death on August 3, 2001. Survivors include daughter, Lennette Holden of Mt Carmel; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Shirley Holden of Michigan; daughter-in-law, Suzette and Harold Kirkpatrick of East Peoria; grandchildren, Wendy and David Merritt of East Peoria and Brigit and Brandon Roe of Germany; brother, Charles Wilson of Iowa; and sister, Aline Patterson of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her daughter, Beth Holden on January 5, 2004; two brothers; and one sister. Mrs. Holden was a member of All Nations Church in Marion. She attended the Addus Adult Day Care Center. She worked as a bookkeeper.
