Violet Imogene Borum Creal Springs-Violet Imogene Borum, 90, of Creal Springs passed away at 8:40 PM, Thursday, April 1, 2009 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend David Handcock and Reverend Tim Culver officiating. Visitation will be form 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 3, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery on Route 166. Mrs. Borum was born December 24, 1918, in Creal Springs to Earl and Altha (Henson) Adams. She married James Laverne Borum in 1937 in Williamson County together they shared 58 years of marriage until his death in 1995. She is survived by daughter, Shirley Johnson of Creal Springs; son, Marvin & Vicky Borum of Creal Springs; son, Eugene & Judy Borum of Creal Springs; son, Ronnie & Peggy Borum of Marion; and daughter, Janice Kay Borum of Creal Springs; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; one grandson; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and one son-in-law. Mrs. Borum was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and a very special lady to her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
