Creal Springs Vickie Ann Swartzentrover, 51, of Creal Springs passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 during the early evening hours in Heartland Regional Medical Center. According to Vickie’s wishes, her body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held by her son, James. Services for Mrs. Swartzentrover will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; envelopes will be available during the service or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, Il 62959. Vickie Ann was born to James & Lois (Payne) Crites in Highland Park on Friday, June 30, 1960. She married Phillip Swartzentrover; he preceded her on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. She is survived by her son, James and mother, Lois Crites both of Creal Springs; brothers, Jim Crites of Creal Springs & Cecil Gene Crites of Belleville; brothers-in-law, Jim & Bev Swartzentrover of Taylor, MI and Keith & Patty Swartzentrover; mother-in-law, Joan Skyles of Johnston City; best friends, Cathy Collins-Porter & Kathy Michel; special niece & nephew, Shelby & Christine Crites of Creal Springs; many other grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Vickie was preceded in death by her father, James and husband, Phillip. Mrs. Swartzentrover was an alumnus of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She currently worked at Meridian Grade School & Meridian High School as a special needs teacher. She was a loving care-giver for her mother, Lois, when she passed. She is loved and greatly missed by all.
