Vernon E. Marshall

Vernon E. Marshall, 74, of Goreville, passed away at 8:10pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his home after a battle with diabetic kidney failure. He was surrounded by his wife, son, and daughter.

Vernon was born on December 17, 1946 to Earl and Evelyn (Walker) Marshall.  He married Linda Jolly on June 22, 1974 and together they shared 47 years of marriage.

Vernon enjoyed drinking coffee with all of his friends.  He was pastored for many years by his dear friend, Rev. R.G. Null.

Son-Brad Marshall (Lindsey)

Daughter-Michelle Cross

Granddaughters-Taylor Cross, Morgan Cross and Kenadee Marshall

Twin sisters-Fay Brown (Terry) and Kay Girtman (Coy)

Brother-Gary Marshall (Lisa)

Many nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. Kenny Perry officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
