Vern Blume MARION - 8220; Vern Blume, 60, of Marion passed away at 2:00 AM, Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in Pittsboro, Indiana. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 3, 2007 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Reverend Tim Goodman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, Monday, December 3, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Mr. Blume was born on May 22, 1947 in Aberdeen, Washington to Vern and Donna (Noskai) Blume. He married Pam Davison on February 8, 1982 in Johnson City, Illinois. Survivors include his wife of Marion; step-daughter Theresa Eickelman of Marion; step-son Jon Eickelman of Christopher; seven grandchildren, Drew, Samantha, Jinger, Chase, Makaylah, Shelby, and Reiley; six sisters and four brothers; mother Donna Blume of Washington state. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Blume loved to play golf and liked to bowl. He was of the Episcopalian faith. He worked at Allen Industries for seventeen years, the Carbondale Teletrack for five years, and Boyd Transportation for eight years. He will be missed by all who knew him.
