Val Adams

Creal Springs Val Jean Adams, 75, of Creal Springs passed away at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 27, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. It was Mr. Adams wishes that his body be cremated and no services held. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. Val was born on August 20, 1936 in Creal Springs to Steve & Louzane (Perry) Adams. He married Delores Kohl on March 18, 1961 in Bensenville at the First Church of God. Together they shared 51 years of marriage and raised three children. He is survived by his loving wife, Delores; children, Keith Adams of Creal Springs, Bryan Adams of Marion and Valerie Vaughn of DuQuoin; grandchildren, Lyndsey Albright of Goreville, Byron Adams of Creal Springs and Colter Adams of Marion; great-grandchildren, Kaydenance Rose Albright and Bryson Jean Adams; brother, Gordon & Glenda Adams of Marion. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Steve & Louzane and brother, Leslie Adams. Val owned and operated Adams Auto & Truck repair in Creal Springs where he worked as a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed playing billiards, going fishing and NASCAR races. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
