Tim Hopkins

Marion- Tim Hopkins, age 54, of Marion, passed away at 2:40am on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Tim was born on August 3, 1963 in Kane County, Illinois, the son of David and Shirley (Hall) Hopkins. He had worked in his family construction business. Tim enjoyed computer games, guitars, music, scary movies, and spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include his sister- Reva and Ronald Cox of Carbondale Brother- Dave and Trudy Hopkins of Davidson, NC Brother- Allan and Liz Hopkins of Statesville, NC Brother- Mike Hopkins of Chaffee, MO Brother- John and Tracy Hopkins of Knoxville, TN Sister- Sandy and Jim Ridings of Johnston City Nephews- Drew and Danny Ridings Ten nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Jim Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in rural Carbondale. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
