Thomas Glenn Bridges MARION-Thomas Glenn Bridges, 88, of Marion passed away at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Floyd Dorris officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Mr. Bridges was born on February 14, 1917 in Marion, Illinois to Hamilton Ardell and Ethyl Frances `Effie` (Latham) Bridges. Survivors include sister, Edna Moreene Lipp of Houston, Texas; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and great great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Edith Bridges, Bessie Bridges, Beulah Herring, Susie Nelson and Hazel Telker; and one brother, John Raymond. Mr. Bridges worked as a movie projectionist for various movie theaters. He also worked as a school bus driver with Charleston R-1 School District for many years.
