Theda B. Cole MARION-Theda B. Cole, 87, of Marion, passed away at 10:15 PM on Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, Illinois surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Mike Ebert officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Mrs. Cole was born on August 7, 1918 in Marion to Arthur and Maude (Meredith) Meadows. She married Harrison W. Cole on April 5, 1943 and were married for over 40 years until his death on January 1, 1984. She is survived by son, Jerry L and wife Barbara Cole of El Cajon, California; daughters, Judi and husband Maurice Franz of Greenfield, Illinois, Barbara J. Wernersson of Springfield, Missouri; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sister, Lowree “Becky” Willmore of Marion; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, George Meadows, Hubert Meadows; sisters, Dorothy Singhurse, Marjorie Bard, Marylou Murphy. She was a member of the First Church of God in Marion. She was a member of the VFW Post #1301 Ladies Auxillary and the Carlinville American Legion Post #554 Ladies Auxillary.
