Terry L. Thomas

MARION -- Terry L. Thomas, 54, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Blue Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. John Burnett officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Terry was born Aug. 1, 1958, in Harrisburg to Roy Eugene and Pauline (McSparin) Head. She married Kenneth Thomas on Jan. 15, 1999, in Scottsboro Baptist Church. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 2007, after eight years of marriage. Survivors include her children, Clayton Morse and fiancé, Mandy Eller, of Mount Vernon and Shannon Morse of Marion; stepchildren, Jenny Reeder and Kevin Reeder; grandchildren, Jaiden Morse, Victoria Morse and Paige Morse; and siblings, Brenda and Calvin Tighe of Deadwood, S.D., Chester Head of Harrisburg and Karla and Chris Carrigan of Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Raymond Head. Terry attended Full Gospel Tabernacle. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was known as being an extremely hard worker, never giving up. She dedicated her life to helping others, which is evident by her employment with Marion Rehab and Nursing Center. She will be missed.
