Terry L. Sprague MARION-Terry L. Sprague, 50, of Marion passed away at 3:34 PM, Sunday, April 22, 2007 at the Harrisburg Medical as result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the First Church of God in Marion with Reverend Mike Ebert and Reverend Eddie Donnelson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the church. Blue Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the First Church of God Building Fund-Music Department; envelopes will be available at the church or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Terry was born August 9, 1956 in Carbondale, Illinois to Glenn A. and Ruth Ann (Horsley) Sprague. He married Shara Fisher on June 28, 1977 in Marion; the Lord blessed them with 29 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Shara of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Denise Sprague of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Cari and M. Brian Beck of Christopher; grandchildren, Jackson and Shelby Sprague and one on the way; his mother, Ruth Ann Sprague of Carterville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Patti Sprague of Crete and Brycker and Tara Sprague of Marion; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Brad Ogden of Carterville; mother and father-in-law, Wendell and Betty Fisher of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Terry was a longtime member of the First Church of God and a member of the Church Band. He graduated from Carterville High School in 1974. He was currently employed by Marion Ford. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and the Hogg Chapter of Southern Illinois. Terry had been singing since he was 16, doing individual solo work and with numerous quartets. He followed in his father’s footsteps in his love for Sprint Car and Midget Racing and having raced his self as well. Terry loved his Lord, his family and being a “PaPa”, and he will be greatly missed by all.
