Terry Davis HERRIN-Terry Davis, 59, of Herrin passed away at 4:30 AM, Sunday, July 5, 2009 at his residence surrounded his family. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Second Baptist Church in Herrin with Dr. Jerry Ford officiating. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is handling the arrangements. Terry was born on November 8, 1949 in Herrin to William and Jesse Ruth (Priddy) Davis. He married Janice Hutchison on March 8, 1969 at Herrin Second Baptist Church; together they just celebrated their 40th anniversary. Survivors include his wife, Janice Davis of Herrin; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Winnie Davis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Darrell Mitchell of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; aunts, Naomi Davis and June Pritchard; nieces and nephews, Darren and Mary Mitchell, Shaun and Natalie Mitchell, Len Allan Davis, Corrina Mae Davis and Lindsay Campbell; several great nieces and nephews; and special cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John W. Davis. Terry attended Herrin Second Baptist Church. He worked as a welder. He served his country with the United States Air Force. In his leisure time he enjoyed NASCAR and basketball.
