Tad David Ash

Tad David Ash, age 54, of Goreville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Herrin Hospital.

Tad was born March 09, 1970 in Terre Haute, Indiana, a son of David and Terry (Boerst) Ash. Tad grew up in Newton, IL, where he graduated Newton High School in 1989. For a time Tad was a Professional Wrestler. He started his family with his first wife having three children. In 1994 he married Joey Baker and together they had four children. Tad was a "die hard" Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Fan. Tad enjoyed travel, especially to New Orleans, and he loved the food there. Tad was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was a wonderful father and loved his family and spending time with friends.

He is survived by his wife Joey R. Ash of Goreville, IL; children, Heather Ash of Vincennes, IN, Tracy Ash of Lawrenceville, IL, Clinton (Lilly) Ash of Watson, IL, Hunter (David) Ash of Goreville, IL, David (Amelia) Ash of Akin, IL, Ryleigh (Christopher) Ash-Law of Thompsonville, IL, Ely Smith of Goreville, IL, and Brent Wolf (Fiancee Jessica) of Mount Carmel, IL; three grandchildren, Jordyn Byrer, Vincent Ash, Ellison Ash, and an anticipated grandchild Beau Ash; his Father & Step Mother, David (Diane) Ash of Seminary, MS, Uncle, Johnnie (Cheryl) Waldrop of Fairfield, IL. He is preceded in death by his mother, Terry Ash.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 20th, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, 7:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home with Chaplain Brad Garner officiating.
