Susan Carter Marion- Susan Carter, 53, of Marion, passed away 5:29AM Sunday, December 18th, 2011 at her home. Memorial services for Mrs. Carter will be held Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at the Blue Funeral Home beginning at 11am. Burial will be at a later date. There will be a time of visitation, at the funeral home, from 10am until the service hour. Rev. Scott Kallem will officiate. Memorials may be made to the 3rd Baptist Church. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home PO 411 Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Carter was born on December 15th, 1958, in Marion, the daughter of John Paul and Helen Mae (Boles) Felts. She married James Carter on August 21st, 1981 at the 3rd Baptist Church in Marion, IL, where she attended. She enjoyed riding around sight seeing. She loved crosswords, and was known for her great memory. She enjoyed spending time shopping, playing games and watching TV. Survivors include her loving husband, James Carter, of Marion, her daughter Andrea R. Carter of West Frankfort, her sister Paula Felts of Marion, brother-in-law Fred Carter and wife Donna of Marion, sister-in-law Cheryl Braun of Marion, sister-in-law Violet Grisham of Marion, sister-in-law Dolly Garcia of Kansas City MO, several nieces nephews and cousins and her beloved dog, Rusty. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Teddy Boles JR.
