Steve Samples

Marion-Thomas “Steve” Samples, 65, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at his home. Steve was born on September 29, 1952 to Sam and Norma (Howell) Samples. He married Janine Benton on July 3, 1992 in Marion. Steve worked at Maytag for over 20 years. He was a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars and taking care of his yard. Steve was a Nascar enthusiast and loved Dale Earnhardt.  He was a wonderful husband and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include: Wife-Janine Samples Children: Gene Samples Rachel Groves Chasity Hastings Stephanie Samples Paul Jerry Samples Several grandchildren and great grandchildren Brothers-Michael Johnson and Shawn Samples Sisters-Maxine Owens and Nadine Rodgers Several cousins He was preceded in death by his parents Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
