Stanley R. Albright MARION-Stanley R. Albright, 92, of Marion, passed away at 12:02 AM, Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Victor Long officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Albright was born September 28, 1917 in Creal Springs to Fred D. and Lillian (Rush) Albright. He married Wanda Faye Pry on April 6, 1938 in Paducah, Kentucky; she preceded him in death on June 9, 2008. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Hancock of Marion; granddaughter, Kristen Whitlock of Marion; great grandchildren, Cory Whitlock, Jaylen Rice-Lockett and James Rice-Lockett; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and five brothers and sisters. Mr. Albright formerly attended First United Methodist Church in Marion. He was self employed in the real estate field for many years. He was active in the CCC’s during the 1930’s. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening and most of all he enjoyed his family.
