Shirley Hoyle

Shirley Louise Hoyle, 75, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Shirley was born on May 20, 1945 to Ollie J. and Ann Curry.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica J. Garris and her husband Billy J. Garris, Sr. of Johnston City; grandchildren, Alice Marie Grigoryan of California and her children, Trinity, Natasha and Maximus; Billy Joe Garris, Jr. of Marion and his children, Remmington Rose and Thora Marie; Brandi Ann Garris of Harrisburg and her children, Hunter Joseph and Dalton Eugene; Brittany Christine Freeman of Marion and her children, Brooklyn Amaya and Jackson Thomas; Tiffany Lynn Garris of Mt. Vernon with a little girl on the way; Nathan Lee Garris of Johnston City and Keyman Xavier Garris of Johnston City.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11am at County Line Cemetery with Rev. Don Colson officiating.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.  Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and the wearing of masks is encouraged.

Shirley was a well known and loved lady who loved God and her family with all her heart.  She will be missed but God will watch over her until we meet again.

Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
