Crab Orchard- Sheri E. Payne, 46, of Crab Orchard, passed away at 7:47 AM, Friday, August 12, 2016 at her home. Sheri was born on November 20, 1969 in Marion to Clarence E. and Verna Lee (Edwards) Payne. She was a member of Mt. Moriah General Baptist Church in Creal Springs. She enjoyed craftwork like embroidery and sewing and working puzzles. She liked to watch “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman” and “Walker Texas Ranger” on the television. She had an excellent memory and was very informative. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include- Mother and step father- Verna Lee and Donald Wall of Crab Orchard Sister- Lisa Emery and husband Gary of Crab Orchard Brother- Michael Payne of Dykersburg Several loving step brothers and sisters Beloved nieces- Emily Emery and Allison Emery of Crab Orchard Several aunts, uncles and cousins She was preceded in death by her father. A private family funeral service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Ben Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow at Creal Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Monday, August 15, 2016 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Memorial donations are suggested to the family and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court/Marion, IL 62959.
