Shelby Carver

Energy Shelby J. Carver, 75 of Energy, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 6:49 AM at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Carver will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Leroy Waggoner officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on the same day starting at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Lake of Egypt Christian Church. Shelby was born in Williamson County to Alvin & Eula (Snider) Cagle on Saturday, January 4, 1937. She married William “Bill” Carver who preceded her in death in 1995. Mrs. Carver is survived by her son, Steve & Elizabeth Thetford of Texas; grandson, Jonah & Larla Thetford of Herrin; siblings, Arlene & Robert “Jug” Parks of Creal Springs, Caroline Sue & Ron Chamness of Marion, Karla & Glenn Yates of Energy and Charles & Irene Cagle of Marion; several nieces and nephews. Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin & Eula and her husband, Bill. She was a member of the Lake of Egypt Christian Church and loved to paint. Shelby spent 31 years of her life working as a shipping supervisor for Allen Industries & United Technologies.
