Sharon Yvonne Turner Marion- Sharon Turner, 67, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 1:08 AM at Heartland Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend John Holst and Reverend Wade Halva officiating. Burial will be in Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Sharon was born on November 27, 1943 in Marion to Vernon Clark & Mamie Kathleen (Benz) Turner. She is survived by her aunt, Barbara Benz; several cousins; her extended family, Tom & Lavonia Hale and Jeri & Jeff Hale. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon; mother, Mamie Morgan and step-father, Byford M. Morgan. Sharon was a graduate of West Frankfort High School. She attended Zion United Church of Christ. Sharon was employed as a records clerk for GTE and then Verizon. She will be missed by all who knew her.
