Scott Wayne Patrick

GALATIA - Scott Wayne Patrick, 55, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Scott was born April 23, 1958, in Carbondale, the son of Joseph and Deloris (Short) Patrick. He loved to bargain hunt, enjoyed fishing and his animals. Scott loved spending time with his family and friends. He has worked at Old Ben Coal Mine, Southern Illinois Vault Company and American Coal. Survivors include four children, Joseph D. Patrick and wife, Jennifer, of Galatia, Mary E. Patrick of Harrisburg, Katherine L. Patrick of Springfield, Mo., and Marvin J. Patrick of Galatia; three grandchildren, Joseph, Justice and Jace; mother, Deloris J. Patrick of Carbondale; brother, Steve Patrick and wife, Judy, of Marion; and sister, Michelle Hutchison of Buncombe. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Patrick. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in Blue Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob McKnight officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
