Scott H. Johnston MARION-Scott H. Johnston, 79, of Marion passed away at 6:35 AM, Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be at Plains Cemetery in Montana. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, Il 62959. Scott was born on November 24, 1929 in Thompson Falls, Montana to Theodore “Shorty” and Floy (Harriott) Johnston. He married Bernice Heathcock on May 20, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri; she preceded him in death on March 7, 2000. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Diann and Albert Dagner of Marion and Darlene and Jack Chamness of Creal Springs; granddaughters, Teresa Teeslink, Tammy Collins, Lana Rawley and Niki Enfield; twelve great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and granddaughter, Monica. Scott was formerly CFO at Marion Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Montana and working in his yard. He was a member of the American Medical Association.
