Sarah Young

MARION- Sarah Young, 70, of Marion passed away at 3:17 PM, Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, May 16, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Roger David officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Shiloh Christian Church Cemetery, south of Marion. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Young was born on April 27, 1934 in Williamson County to John Parmer and Carrie (Hudgens) White. She married Elmer Young and he survives. Survivors include her husband, son, Keith and Kolina Edwards of Marion; daughter, Lynette and Pat Farrell of Florida; son, Kevin and Linda Young of Florida; grandchildren, Adam Edwards, Eric Young, Lynn Auchenbach, David Farrell, Lisa Farrell, Christopher Farrell, Jill Farrell, Katie Weatherford, Eric Weatherford, Seth Weatherford; great grandchildren, Kyle Farrell, Trisha Portoff, Scott Weatherford; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Katherine Edwards; five brothers and one sister. Mrs. Young operated a beauty shop out of her own home for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Christian Church. She was a loving wife, grandmother and will be missed by all.
