Sara M. Barnard MARION – Sara M. Barnard, 48, of Marion passed away at 11:15 PM, Monday, July 28, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Memorials may be made to her family; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Sara was born July 4, 1960 in Johnston City, Illinois to James and Betty Jane (Smith) Sparks. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, April and Bill Boaz of Marion; son, David Scott Barnard of Marion, presently serving in Iraq; grandchildren, Destinie Ocampo, Mikey Boaz and Kiley Boaz; her father, James Sparks of Johnston City; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Bobby and Kim Sparks, Sandy and Richard Fulton, Stephanie and Joe Salva, Steve and Micky Sparks, Stan and Kelly Sparks, Suzie Swingle, Sonya and Wesley Reed, Sam and Marsha Sparks, Cindy and Waymen Winters and Mike and Neash Sparks; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother; sister, Sally Reed; niece, Jennifer White; great nephew, Tyler White. Sara was a homemaker. She loved to play cards with her family and friends. She loved her family and she will be missed by all. “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me that they may be one, as we are.” John 17:11
