Samuel Farnam

Pittsburg-Samuel Ed Farnam, 69, passed away on February 26, 2019 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Samuel was born on January 16, 1950 in Springfield to John and Victoria (McCafferty) Farnam. He married Juanita Faye West on June 28, 1974.  She preceded him in death on January 11, 2008. Samuel worked for L&N Railroad and was the Captain of Burns Security of St. Louis. Survivors include: Children: Angel Rhodes and Michael Bolyard of Brownstown, IL Gary and Amber Farnam of Benton Samuel Ed Farnam, Jr. “Jr” and Jada Ozark of AL Lisa Farnam and fiancé Ronnie Salb of Vienna Grandchildren: Bailey, Cole and Levi Emeri and Jonah Sammy, Dayne and Maddix Mariah, Brittany, Dalton, Dylan, Andrew and Miley Great granddaughter-Emma Brother-James and Debbie Boyce Sisters: Linda Mackey Cheryl Ramey Sandy Davis He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and siblings, Vicky Harrison, Shirley Latham, Eva Goacher, Russella “Rusty” Neville, William Boyce and Helen McCafferty Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Jared Barton officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant “Poordo” Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
