Ruth Cash MARION-Ruth Cash, 93, of Marion passed away at 9:58 PM, Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Severin Intermediate Care in Benton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Cash was born March 27, 1914 in Williamson County, Illinois to Charlie and Margaret (Midgett) Hill. She married Ray Cash on June 7, 1941 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee; together they shared 66 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, Ray of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Joy Cash of Benton; and son, Dale Cash of Sleepy Hollow. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Nancy Cash; and brother, Charles Hill. Mrs. Cash was a member of Parrish Park Baptist Church in Marion and formerly a member of Third Baptist Church in Marion. She was a school teacher, having taught at various Williamson County Schools, Surlida, White Oak and Paulton.
