Russell Wayne Bozarth, Age 50, of Marion, was reported missing on December 12, 2020. He was recovered June 8, 2021, following the demolition of the Marion Motel.
Russell was born on April 29, 1970, to loving mother Brenda Donelson, and father William Bozarth. Russell was generous, hardworking, down to earth, and forgiving (surprisingly so, for a taurus). He left a lasting impression on anyone who knew him.
Russell worked in home renovation for most of his life. He was an avid story-teller, and they will be remembered as legendary. He cared immensely for his home town, spending time and making memories with his kids and family, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Russell is survived by his parents, Brenda Donelson (Michael Roy) and William Bozarth, plus loving children, Joshua Diefenbach (Kortney), Magen Bozarth (Mike), Elizabeth Bozarth, and River Bozarth, and Brooke Bozarth-Troxel. He leaves behind grand babies, Lexis Bozarth, Kinsley Majors, Marlie Loyd, Zaylee Diefenbach, Zander Deifenbach, Eli Bozarth, Jaydin Bozarth, Zendaiya Mcgee, and Greenlee Mcgee. He had many siblings, namely Catinna Bozarth-Williams, Mickolena Chaney, Carla Bozarth, David Bozarth and Billie Jo Bozarth, and many other nieces and nephews.
Russell was preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Laura Bozarth; son, Christopher Bozarth, and grandparents, Loudeen Jackson and Carl Jackson.
Russell is to be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
“On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night” -Hotel California
