Ruby Helen Atnip
MARION-Ruby Helen Atnip, 93, of Marion passed away at 8:13 AM, Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Brent Schuetz and Reverend Frankie Starrick officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Mrs. Atnip was born March 28, 1914 in Williamson County, Illinois to William Simpson and Amanda D. (Grimes) Gray. She married Robert Wayne Atnip on March 29, 1932 in Murphysboro; he preceded her in death in November of 1969.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Walter Paintner of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Kathryn Motsinger of Marion; grandchildren, Paula and Floyd Schuetz, Sharon and Keith Peterman, Sandy Malin, Roger and Lupe Maze, Tony and Tracy Maze; Jim and Nancy Paintner; granddaughter-in-law, Laura Paintner; great grandchildren, Alleisha and Roger Bastien, Leah and Geofrey Partlow, Laura and Shane Tomlin, Kelly and Jorge Galindo, Lacey Maze, Shelly Mitchell, Stephanie Paintner, Cheryl and Eric Deutsch, Heather Paintner, Vicky Malin, Raymond and Mandy Schuetz, Moses and Aaron Maze, Justin Maze, Jason Paintner, Shane Paintner and Mathew and Tyler Malin; great great grandchildren, Emily Partlow, Hannah Bastien, MaKayla and Kaitlyn Schuetz, Heaven Leigh Mitchell, Alexandria Paintner, Alex and Adam Partlow, Everett and Floyd Bastien, Mathew Tomlin, Ty Schuetz, Owen Paintner, Christian Mitchell and Kenneth, Andy and Ayden Paintner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Roy Paintner; great granddaughters, Kelly and Kimberly Paintner; and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Atnip was a member of New Horizon General Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and quilting.
She loved her family deeply and will be missed by all.
