Ruby Bradbury

Herrin-Ruby K. Bradbury, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her home. Ruby was born on March 7, 1937 in Ava to Brady and Clara (Davidson) Van Hoy. She married Robert Bradbury on June 9, 1972 in Hampton, VA.  He preceded her in death on August 12, 2005. Ruby worked as a seamstress and co-owned B&K Used Furniture. Survivors include: Daughters-Debbie and Robert Triplett of Herrin; Susan and Bill Daniel of Arkansas and Cheryl and Marty Sunderman of Edwards, MO Son-Jon Birckhead of Herrin Brother-Lee Roy and Sue Van Hoy of Stewart, FL Sister-Jean Mifflin of Edwards, MO 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Paul Davis and Roy Bradbury; sisters, Virginia Clark and Delores Williams; brother, Donald Van Hoy and three infant siblings. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 2pm at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Pastor Kenneth Shelton officiating.  Burial will follow at Cana Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 4pm-6pm at the funeral home.
