Roy Edward Frerking MARION-Roy Edward Frerking, 56, formerly of Raytown Missouri, passed away Friday, September 22, 2006 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, September 29, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Private inurnment was held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for his children’s education. Roy was born March 13, 1950 in Kansas City to Herbert and Jean Frerking. He graduated from Raytown South High School in 1968 where he played football and basketball, and was the first Raytown South Football Player to be selected to the Kansas City Star Metro Football First Team. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1975 where he also played football. He was a Rural Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was an avid outdoorsman and he loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Pamela Frerking. Survivors include his wife Mary Frerking; sons James and Charles Frerking; daughters Melanie and her husband Mike Davis and Amy Frerking all of Marion; brother Robert and his wife Susan Frerking of Overland Park, Kansas; and a step-granddaughter Morgyn Davis.
