Ronald E. Mighell Goreville—Ronald E. Mighell, 64, of Goreville passed away at Noon on Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Heartland Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Ronald will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Dr. Ron Ferguson and Reverend RG Null officiating. Interment will follow in Busby Cemetery in Goreville. A time of gathering for family and friends will be held Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Ronald was born at his parent’s home in Elvira Township on Saturday, August 14, 1948 to Roy & Mary (Smith) Mighell. He married Janice Svilar in Buncombe at the Mt. Zion Church on Saturday, January 27, 1973; they shared 39 years together. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice of Goreville; children, Neila Rae & Malcolm Collins of Goreville and Paula Jo Mighell of Marion; granddaughter, Chloe Grace; siblings, Martha Ethridge, Nina & Charles Albright, Michael & Tanya Mighell, Amanda & Randy Pulley and Raymond Mighell; nieces & nephews, Sam Mighell, Kevin Mighell, Tammy Fouch, Kim Bachelli, Angie Burwell, Jason Ethridge, Samantha Ethridge, Ashley Mighell, Devon Mighell, Elizabeth Pulley, Nichole Pulley, Dallas Pulley, Kyla Pulley and Justin Pulley, great-nieces, Alaska & Sophia. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Catherine & Roy Russell Mighell; siblings, Roy Russell Mighell, Jr., James Preston Mighell and Ramona Kay Wollaver. Mr. Mighell had retired in 2007 from Southern Illinois Stone after 38 years of service. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
