Goreville Ronald Kelley, 71, of Goreville passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:55 PM in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Dale Billingsley officiating. A time of visitation to express sympathy to the family will be held on Friday starting at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Saline Lodge # 339. Mr. Kelley will be interred in Busby Cemetery following the service. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Ron was born on Thursday, January 16, 1941 in Johnson County to Bill & Juanita (Parks) Kelley. He married Mary Billingsley in November of 1964 and together they shared 47 years; she survives of Goreville. Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife; parents, Bill & Juanita; children, Tia & David Fosse of Philadelphia, Amber & Jacob Hancock of Goreville, Angela & Allen James of Goreville and Travis & Amanda Kelley of Herrin; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna & Barny Eastman of Goreville and Pam & Gary Marx of Olathe, KS; several nieces, nephews, family and the “love of his life”, his 1949 Mercury. Ron resided his entire life in Goreville. He and his father operated Kelley’s Mobile for several years. He later worked for a company manufacturing boats. Mr. Kelley was a member of Saline Lodge #339 in Goreville. His memory shall be preserved by those he loved.
