Goreville-Ronald Leon Case, 84, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his home.
Ronald was born on November 13, 1932 in Norfolk, NE to Cecil and Leona (Weaver) Case. He married Billie Everhart in Dayton, TN April 7, 1956. She survives of Goreville.
Ronald served in the U.S. Navy where he was an avid tennis champion. He retired as a professor from Shawnee Community College. Ronald served as officer of The Shawnee College Education Association and was the chair of the accounting and business departments at the college. Ronald was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and on the church council for St. Paul’s in Vienna and St. Joseph’s. He was on the Board of Directors for Hospitality House in Vienna. Ronald was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed gardening. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 10am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marion with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating. Burial will follow at Cana Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5pm-7pm at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville.
