Ronald "Bud" Wilkins

Marion-Ronald “Bud” Wilkins, 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Bud was born on September 1, 1934 in Marion to Clarence E. and Eva (Council) Wilkins. He married Dorothy Eckols on November 12, 1955. She survives of Marion.
Bud was in the US Air force. He retired from Maytag after 41 years of employment. Bud was a farmer, enjoyed bowling and attended Spillertown Baptist Church. He was a Christian, a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wilda Boozer.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 1:30pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Steve Shea officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Herrin VFW with assistance from the Air Force Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
