Rodney W. Clark GOREVILLE-Rodney Willard Clark, 78, of Goreville passed away at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Memorial services will be held at a later date, Blue Funeral Home in Goreville is assisting the family with arrangements. Mr. Clark was born on August 20, 1930 in Dekalb, Illinois to Howard Harry and Celia Ruth (Leonhard) Clark. He married Marian Dick in 1983 in Sycamore, Illinois, she survives of Goreville. Survivors include his wife, Marian of Goreville; sons, Rodney Clark Jr. of Iowa and Ralph McMinamem of Arkansas; step-daughters, Sandi & Richard Stockman of Murphy, North Carolina and Janice & Dave Russo of Commerce, Georgia; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ross Clark; grandchildren, Byron James Clark, Edward Clark, and Heather Clark; brothers, Jack and Richard Clark. Mr. Clark retired in 1997 after 22 years as Head Maintenance Engineer with the school district U-46 in Elgin, Illinois. Rodney enjoyed camping, boating, and being outdoors. His dog “Flop” was his constant companion. He will be missed by all who knew him.
