Carbondale-Robert Taylor, 67, passed away at 2:00am on Friday, December 13, 2013. Robert was born on August 19, 1946 in Marion to Morah and Martha (Smith) Taylor. He graduated from Marion High School in 1964 and worked as a brick layer for many years. Survivors include: Daughter: Donna Pinto and husband Tony of Carbondale Bobbie Baltzell and husband John of Marion Sons: Jerry Taylor of Marion David Taylor of Marion Jason Taylor of Marion Grandchildren: Richie Davis Keith Davis Maegan Frew Joshua Taylor Theresa Moore Corey Baltzell Justin Baltzell Garrett Baltzell Drake Baltzell Breyer Taylor Cole Taylor Brother-Ralph Taylor Sisters: Ruby Vanover Emma Hess Kathryn McKnight Several extended family members Robert was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, grandson, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 1pm on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Cecil Clendenin officiating. Burial will follow at Carterville City Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Sunday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
